Who made The Career Lighthouse?
Well, I am glad you asked! Hi! My name is Janae Anderson, and I am the creator of The Career Lighthouse. I am currently a VR Software Engineer and looking to be a guide for students. I studied at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I graduated in the Spring of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Information Technology and a specialization in Game Development with a minor in Computer Science.
Why did you make The Career Lighthouse?
With former classmates, friends, and parents regularly seeking advice on various college and career-related matters, I realized the need for a consolidated resource. Combining all my expertise into one central hub is the natural next step. During my college years, I actively participated in various organizations to support fellow students. I was one of six college representatives on my student senate and the president and co-founder of an organization dedicated to helping first-generation students. It's immensely fulfilling for me to guide others toward reaching their full potential. Launching this platform has enabled me to extend my outreach beyond my local network, contacting individuals who can benefit from my insights and experiences.
